		<description>My grandmother had tetanus, in her mid 80&#039;s.  At the time she was the oldest person in the US to survive it.  She recovered well, but the tetanus made her hearing worse and changed her from a woman who shoveled snow and was tough, to a frail woman.  I&#039;m glad she survived but it is a very rough disease.

		<description>i realize that this is going to sound really gross...but i am sooo jealous. i&#039;ve never even seen a case of tetanus. i&#039;ve been a neuro nurse for 35 years and have always thought that tetanus along with rabies are the ultimate test of nursing.
