OMG! I am a lowly student…but learning high standards. Are standards really that low out in the “real world”?

Just like anywhere else, any other profession – you have places with high standards and places with low standards. Most places are in between.

Is it the system or is it the hospital that you work for specifically? I’m just wondering because opinions vary among healthcare professionals.

Wow. I’ve never heard anybody said it’s OK to leave a patient with O2 sats of 70% even upon discharge.
