As an ER nurse, I have been involved with the back half of this. You guys in the field give your all, and I thank you. I wish we had a program that allowed us to talk about these things after they happen, but we don’t. We do have each other, though. And I wouldn’t feel silly at all crying on their shoulders if I needed to. These are the patients you never forget. This is why we all do what we do.

Excuse me, but I am a student who is researching about electrocardiograms and saw a comment you posted about a new wireless electrocardiogram on a website months ago. This was the only way I could seem to contact you. You commented that you believed the LifeSync Wireless electrocardiogram was “the holy grail of ICU nursing”. I’m researching another method of wireless ekg machines. It would be appreciated if you could contact me to discuss this in slightly more detail.

Been there done that, GF! I worked as a paramedic for 15 years before nursing, and have a Christmas Eve story to tell, very similar to yours. Another day… I had a flashback reading your story, I don’t think we will ever forget. Take care.

its so nice that you guys have worked your minds out of this.i’m a med student and i was there in my med college emr with only one medical officer when they brought three guys who had immolated themselves with kerosene.that incident still haunts me one and a half months on.good work which you guys are doing has a reward of a different kind it makes you more humble.
